Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Field Technician who can operate independently, think critically under pressure, and represent the company professionally on client sites. This is not an entry-level help desk role. The right candidate is calm, accountable, and comfortable troubleshooting real-world systems without constant supervision.

This position includes both in-shop and on-site service work.

Core Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop hardware (Apple and Windows)

• Perform OS installs, data migration, and backup configuration

• Troubleshoot networks, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi issues

• Assist with small business environments (DNS, email, file sharing, basic server administration)

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices

• Document all work clearly and thoroughly

• Communicate professionally with clients on-site and in-shop

• Identify potential risks and proactively recommend solutions

Required Qualifications

• Proven hands-on technical experience (2+ years preferred)

• Strong troubleshooting ability across Windows and macOS

• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi)

• Comfort working independently in client environments

• Professional communication skills

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift and transport equipment as needed

Preferred (but not required)

• Experience with small business networks

• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and practices

• Linux experience

• Experience with data recovery workflows

• Previous field service experience
